LIZ LERMAN 'Pas de Dirt'
Pas de Dirt brings a new meaning to the phrase “dancing in the streets” as bulldozers and ballerinas partner to the strains of Tchaikovsky. Join us outside the National Building Museum for a family-fun performance that explores the relationship between movement, architecture, and the tools we use to build our environment. You’ll feel the earth move!
Pas de Dirt is a production of Liz Lerman Dance Exchange in cooperation with Bowen McCauley Dance. It is presented as the fourth event in Street Scenes: Projects for DC, a series of city-wide public art events in 2006/07 that aim to bring contemporary art into the public domain and insert art experiences into unexpected places.
